Stop Emotional Over Eating

                           Why Diets Don't Work

Millions of overweight Americans pour billions of dollars into books, doctors, pills, diet program franchises, and pre-packaged diet foods in hope of gaining control over their weight. Most are looking for an easy way to quickly lose pounds and inches. Waiting for the magic pill to be invented that will do the work for them, we see them on TV every day. So, why are diet program's weight loss results typically so short lived? Becaue they do not address the cause of weight gain.  Simply put: diets are a temporary solution to a life long issue, naturally they don't work in the long term. Only 5% of the population who diet keep the weight off. How many times have you gone on a diet, only to gain back more weight than you've just lost.  Statistics show most "dieters" regain the lost weight plus an additional 10% within a year.  Now fear of dieting has become an issue.  So now that dieting isn't available to lose weight, what's the answer?  Simple really...don't diet, rather address the issues that cause overeating and change the way you use food in your life, re-establish a healthy metabolism and allow your body to find it's proper, healthy, weight.

The truth is that overeating is an incredibly complex problem with multiple components to the issue. Genetic predisposition, psychological influences, daily stress levels, body image, age, exercise, metabolism, personal habits, food knowledge, and lifestyle. Where is the program that addresses all these issues and gives us the tools to achieve our weight goals? You've found it!

Stop Emotional OverEating Program is a process that is resulting in many, many successes.  It is a unique wholistic approach to weight loss.  By addressing the cause of weight gain, not just on a physical level but we also investigate, observe, and conclude that our thoughts, feelings, and actions contribute to overeating behaviors.  This program addresses body image, self image, and beliefs that color our perceptions of ourself and the world.  It's a journey of self awareness and discovery.  With every step along the way, insight, strength, empowerment is gained.

The "Stop Emotional Over Eating" Program

The program that is offered at LifeWorks Stress and Learning Center approaches this issue mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It is a holistic approach. All parts of who you are is acknowledged and is included in the process.  With the guidance of Sharon's questions and skills, you will identify your own story of how your emotions are connected to your eating habits.  With the use of journal writing, emotional stress release techniques, the systems of One Brain Integration (www.3in1concepts.net) and Emotional Freedom Technique (www.emofree.com), and the willingness to look into the mirror to make changes, you will soon notice your perceptions about yourself and life shift.  During the process, a smile may come over you, people may notice something is different about you, and best of all, your relationship with food has begun to change.  The emotional connection you had to food is no longer what it use to be.  You may find you no longer crave chocolate or want to eat the whole bag of chips or snack late at night.  For the first time in awhile, you are actually listening to your body tell you when you're hungry and when you've had enough.  You have released and balanced what was truly behind the WHY of your over eating.  You now have the ability to stand with a new sense of self.  Before, you felt trapped, believing you had no choice but to be in your life as it was.  Now a transformation has taken place leaving you with a clarity, a freedom to make better choices, a power to take positive action towards accomplishing your goals.

On your journey to self discovery you will become aware of who you were, who you've become and why.  This is not a diet.  You will find that the weight loss is a side effect.  It is a result of discovering a new balance in your life.
